Vlad Vizireanu began his career at the University of California studying music history. He has gone on to participate in music all around the world. He studied medieval chant at the University of Texas before going on to earn a masters in orchestral conducting at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Finally he earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Arizona State University in both orchestral and opera conducting. Vlad has conducted orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Cadaques Symphony, and at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest.
Vlad is currently a Lecturer in Music at University of California in Santa Barbara. Recently he was Music Director at North Shore Symphony Orchestra in Plainview, NY, and conductor at New West Symphony Harmony Project Intermediate Orchestra in Ventura County, CA. The Harmony Project was geared at inspiring young children to have a lifelong appreciation for the arts. In Vlad’s own words “the greater purpose of music is to bring people closer together.”
